I was sitting in Starbucks, trying my hardest to focus on writing a paper, when I came across an advertisement on the website I was on. I just happened to look up at the top of the page to see this:
Seriously? Has marketing and advertising in America really come to this? Of course I probably wouldn't have thought twice about this if I hadn't recently been so directly affected by divorce, but now I'm sensitive.
The saddest part about this advertisement is that it probably worked. It may have even provoked someone's thoughts about leaving their spouse to another level, making them fantasize about what their life would be like in their very own loft. What the heck is a loft anyway. Ok back to writing my paper.
